Sanquan Medical College(新乡医学院三全学院)


Sanquan Medical College, founded in 2003, was identified as an independent college by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China in December 2003. In February 2009, a cooperative education agreement was signed by Xinxiang Medical University and Zhongmei Healthcare Group, marking the beginning of a brand-new era of Sanquan.

Characterized by a unique educational pattern of “classical academy + school”, Sanquan now comprises of 15 schools (or departments), the School of Basic Medicine and the School of Nursing for example, 6 academies such as Renzhi and Xihe, and 30 administrative departments for teaching affairs, student affairs, etc. In our full-time undergraduate (including students upgrading from junior college to university) and junior college programs, 24 undergraduate majors and research directions, and 7 college majors have been established, covering medicine, management, science, engineering and literature. Sanquan now has 22,049 students on campus guided by 1318 full-time teachers, 31% of whom have associate professor or equivalent titles and 42% own master or higher degrees, as well as 260 experts from higher education institutions or enterprises.

Under the principles of "society-oriented development strategy, all-rounded quality education, talent-focused medical cultivation”, Sanquan is dedicated to becoming a regionally renowned and practice-focused university , while steadily following its mid-term development strategy of “transformation, quality and distinction". By giving full play to the critical opportunities emerged from the“Healthy China 2030”and reforms of national educational system, Sanquan has always been forging its characteristics and strengths, and established a major cluster with 5 medical services including modern medical equipment and technology, biomedicine, elderly care and rehabilitation, modern health, and medical management, with modern medical services at its core. Sanquan has always been proactively contributing talent and knowledge support to local economical and social progress. More than 42,000 students have graduated from Sanquan in the past 18 years, and their Alma Mater has grown into a higher education institution with prominent advantages and uniqueness.

After acquiring the qualification for employing foreign experts in 2015, Sanquan has successively introduced prof. Li Mingwen of UCD to establish the research team for assisted reproductive medicine; prof. Ying Qilong of USC to perform as the chief scientist of stem cell center for stem cell transformation and utilization researches; and prof. Choi Seog Soon and Moon Soo from Shingu College to carry out the talent training reform of oral medicine technology and application research of high-end oral products. Sanquan made its way into the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDMS) of WHO (Part 3) in 2018, and embarked on recruiting international students in the same year. The year 2020 then witnessed Sanquan's entry into the World Higher Education Database of the International Association of Universities (IAU) supported by the UNESCO (Part 4). Since getting qualification of accepting foreign students in 2018, 118 foreign students from Pakistan, India, Indonesia, Tanzania, Ghana and other countries along the Belt Road have been enrolled. And in May 2019, our joint education project with Chatham University from the U.S was also approved. To summarize, with "introducing" and "going out" acting in parallel, our journey of international cooperation is now on its new stage.

Major: Clinical Medicine

Objective: graduates shall master basic theories and skills of basic medicine and clinical medicine, comprehensively grasp the knowledge of natural science and humanities, initially have the vocational ability of clinical medicine, and the basic capability and potential to adapt to the market competition of medical science and its technological and social needs.

Main Courses: systematic anatomy, regional anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pathology, pathophysiology, diagnostics, pharmacology, internal medicine, surgery, gynecology, pediatrics, etc.

Amount: 90 Students.
 

II. Degree

Corresponding degree and diploma will be awarded to qualified students upon completion of the specialized program curriculum while meeting other relevant requirements.
 

III. Eligibility

       1. Nationality: If the candidate was born with foreign nationality with one or both of the candidate’s parents having Chinese nationality while settling abroad, the candidate shall hold a valid foreign passport or proof with a period of validity of more than 4 years, and meanwhile have a over two years’record of living in foreign countries (living for more than 9 months per year can be accounted as one year, according to record on the exit-entry visa).

   2. Diploma: candidates must have a high school diploma or certification of equivalent education with good performance.

   3. Age: 18-23 years old, graduated within 2 years.

   4. Language: is able to communicate in English and join English interview. Candidates with Chinese ability and relative certificates are preferred.

   5. Health: all columns in the Foreign Physical Examination Form should be normal.

   6. Others: no criminal record, in good health both physically and mentally, observe Chinese laws as well as university rule and regulations, and respect Chinese customs.
 

IV. Procedure

(I) Basic Information

1. Place of residence and birthplace should include the city name, and the correspondence address should include street number.

2. The contact number should follow the structure of country code + area code + phone number.

3. The photo should be in passport size on a white background, without glasses, headscarf, frameworks.

4. All original files need to be kept, including 10 passport-size photos.

(II) Other material

1. Original high school diploma.

2. Original high school transcript.

3. Passport first page and visa page.

4. The foreign medical examination record issued within 3 months.

5. Proof of no criminal record within 3 months of issuance.

6. Asset certificate issued by the bank (asset proof or 6-month transaction list from banks).

7. Applicant's letter of guarantee must be signed by the applicant.

(III) Interview

The Foreign Affairs work group will screen student materials within one week after receiving material, send qualified applicants an interview notice to applicants who initially meet the application requirements.

(IV) Pre-admission

The Foreign Affairs work group will calculate the comprehensive grades and decide the list of candidates based on their high school scores and interview scores within two weeks. After approval from Foreign Affairs work group leaders, qualified students will receive an electronic pre-admission notice.

(V) Formal Admission Notice

 Finally, the Foreign Affairs Work Group will publicize the final admission result on the website of the Foreign Affairs Department for one week, and mail the official admission letter, visa application materials, admission guide and other materials to the admission students.

(VI) Pay attention to mailbox and notifications.

All relevant notices related to admission, courses, fees, etc., are sent from specific mailbox and system. Please keep your communication smooth and set up a mobile email reminder.
 

V. Accommodation, Dining and Transportation

Students must live in the twin-bed dormitory for international students. There are two student restaurants with several sales windows for Muslim food. The public bus at the school gate can arrive at Zhengzhou subway station after 30 minutes.

Note: the college only charges the application fee, tuition fee and accommodation fee, and also help merchants collect textbook fee and white coat fee. Among them, the textbook fee and accommodation fee are charged according to the actual cost, and the excess will be refunded and the lack need be compensated. Students are required to pay fees within 7 days after they report to the school. It also provides excellent students with a scholarship of Henan Provincial Government.
